Unnamed Alphabet by XanthusKidd Unnamed Alphabet by XanthusKidd
A work in progress, to be eventually used as a rough language character set for stories based in Faerie. This is listed in an English alphabet format, to be re-arranged.

Vowels are long by default. I haven't yet decided whether I should include capital letters or leave the concept out entirely.

The short vowel marks give two different sounds. The caret symbol over an "a" gives the "ah" sound in art or archipelago. The circle above an "a" takes on the short "u" attributes from the "uh" sound of unnamed or under.

The double letter mark gives the "o" a traditional "oo" sound, and it gives the "g" a "j" sound, as well as serving as a double letter indication for transliteration.

The universal symbol serves a variety of functions. Over an "s" it produces the "sh" sound, with a "t," the "th" phonetic. Over an "h," a "ch" as in cheese is produced.

I have not yet decided what to do for the "z" sound. I may add another letter, or I may modify the "s" with an accent mark of some sort.

Comments? Suggestions? :D
